Hi – We’re Milly Woodward and Bill McGuire. Welcome to our home, Outdoor Lovers Bed and Breakfast.   We met in Maple Ridge one afternoon about 20 years ago and, 15 years later, decided to leave the traffic and crowds of B.C.’s Lower Mainland  and move to Vancouver Island’s beautiful Alberni Valley and establish our retirement dream of a REAL Bed and Breakfast.

That dream is Outdoor Lovers B & B, with superb views of Alberni Inlet, surrounded by wonderful trails for all levels of hiker and an ideal base for exploring both the West and East Coast of Vancouver Island. At Outdoor Lovers you will be served Organic Saltspring Island Coffee and premium teas, black, green and herbal, on request. After a wonderful day exploring the Stamp Long River Trail, the Wildlife Recovery Center, or Cathedral Grove, you can enjoy an evening out at Little Bavaria or  The Brie & Barrel. Or you might  return  home and enjoy a home cooked meal, followed by a relaxing evening on the Veranda watching the sunset over the mountains. If you need to Zoom home or relax with your lap-top, our WiFi is excellent. In the morning, after a peaceful sleep,  you will enjoy a home made breakfast, specially tailored to your dietary preference.

We are Outdoor Lovers and we are continually exploring the area for new hikes and experiences to  better inform our guests.  Milly loves conversation and is the catalyst that makes Outdoor Lovers your Home Away from Home. I love cooking for family, friends and guests. In our dining room you will meet guests from all over the world and delight in sharing travel stories, experiences and advice.
